More power, more Slugs, New paths

Slugs Ballistic Characteristics

Now, let’s get technical. Relax just a little bit…

Unlike common pellets, slugs have a high ballistic coefficient of 0.075 in the 5.5 or .22 caliber; diabolo projectiles have 0.033. So much so that slugs do not suffer changes in their acceleration, and, if they are affected at all, we are talking about minimum levels.

After achieving these characteristics, the slugs overcome the air resistance and consequently their trajectory is constant. Putting all these components together, it can be said with certainty that hunting and long range shooting are the perfect activities with these projectiles.

Optimal Use of Slugs

It is important to know that slugs work best for 5.5 or .22 calibers and those that follow. It is also worth mentioning that it is recommended to use them with barrels specifically designed for them; they can be used in common barrels but their potential would not be appreciated. That is why Fx has launched a series of liners for this type of projectiles; Slug A liner.

At all these, keep in mind that to experiment with slugs in their entirety, you must have your rifles modified to FAC (FULLPOWER).
